Desert Boots - I have owned a pair of desert boots since the 1950?s. I consider them a wardrobe essential. With jeans, khakis or casual slacks I think they look great. I find them comfortable, easy to care for and a great look. For maintenance they require very little, just wear them until dirty (it adds character) and when they develop too much character, wash them with dish soap and a natural brush. And, when the end comes, say goodbye and buy another pair because they are cheaper than sneakers these days. As an aside, they were designed for the British Troops fighting Rommel in the desert during WWII, how cool is that!
